Some questions:

Keep dogs on a lead.....why do most of the owners ignore this and let their dogs run free on the tarmac where kids are walking, adults are walking, joggers are running and cyclists are cycling? I cannot begin to tell you the fear the kids have when we are walking and an overexcited dog comes running up to them resulting in sobs and wails of fear from the kids.

And I have been chased whilst jogging by dogs off leads.

Walking dogs on Tarmac.....why would dogs WANT to walk on tarmac?? why walk to Dulwich park to walk on tarmac when any pavement will suffice? would it not be better to let the dogs run about on the grass where they can poo, run free and have no kids or joggers etc in their view? after all that IS the dog exercise area and they can be taken off the leads there.

Since cars were banned from Dulwich Park the influx of dog walkers has increased ten folds and it is causing so many problems!

Actually I just read the doggy threads and I am shattered, it has been done to the death...I shall leave it in the depths of the abyss!

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
