DulwichLondoner
The Beautiful Pizza Boy on Bellenden road, which replaced the baby-friendly Trio cafe, has just been replaced by another pizzeria: Made of Dough. Has any one tried it? Did the old one go bust? I believe it lasted only a year or so.Also, has anyone tried Crust Bros? I understand they have a place in Waterloo, but they also deliver in our area via Deliveroo, from a kitchen in Camberwell - a kitchen which prepares food for Deliveroo only, ie you cannot eat there in person.I like the original Neapolitan-style pizza, i.e. a thin, not crunchy base, prepared with a long levitation so it doesn't continue fermenting in my stomach, and cooked in a wood-fired oven. My favourite local pizzerias are Franco Manca and Theo's. LouiseC
If you like Franco Manca and Theo's, you'll like Made of Dough- it's very good. Also worth trying Bona in Forest Hill as well as its of a similar ilk and really good as well. DulwichLondoner
Thanks a lot! I had never heard of Bona - sounds promising. So, to be clear, you confirm that both Bona and Made of Dough make a traditional Neapolitan pizza? Do you happen to know if they have a kid menu, too? LouiseC
Yes- Not sure if they do a children's menu but there were children in both of them when I've been. Seabag
You need a 'kids menu' at a Pizza place? In a world where every 'kids menu' features pizza, I'd have though.......Never mind!Go to Made of Dough, it's fun, it's nice, they make pizzas for everyone. DulwichLondoner
By kids menu I mean a smaller pizza. I have found that not all pizzerias are willing to make one. jimbo1964
I guess that when a Margerita costs about ?6.50 it's hardly worth them messing about doing a special slightly smaller pizza and knocking ?1 off the price.
