  1. We went to Crete last October, still mid to late twenties C, lots of flights etc would recommend...
  2. It's not just Dulwich, I think it's an issue around Southwark because I've noticed it everywhere in Peckham and Nunhead as well recently.
  3. Hi Nigello, completely take your point but all I'm saying is that most people have just left them out as they know the council is collecting them rather than just leaving them on the street and hoping they'll disappear, from someone who did leave their tree in the front yard last year and didn't get it collected then I understand them being left out! However I would re-iterate its def not acceptable for them to block the footpath..
  4. Hi, just to say it's not people being inconsiderate leaving trees out (unless they are blocking the footpath), if you go onto Southwark council website it tells you what to do with Christmas trees, one of the options being: "If you have a food and garden waste collection real Christmas trees can be collected as part of your normal household collection, simply leave it by your bin on collection day".
  5. Maybe Iris and Question Air are owned by the same people?
  6. Any ideas what's happening with Question air? Has it closed or is it a refurb?
  7. Tunde from the Lanes driving school in Dulwich is excellent.
  8. Hi Shelley, Tunde at the Lanes driving school is excellent, PM me if you want her number.
  9. Thanks for sharing Renata- this is a disgrace, especially for Nunhead residents, whose service will affectively be cut by half and the other half of their service (Thameslink) cannot take the overspill of these passengers as the trains are already dangerously packed at peak hour as well as being shockingly unreliable. I really don't know how this can be justified??
  10. Hi Renata, This is really worrying for those of us who live in Nunhead, especially in light of your other post yesterday re: Victoria trains are also potentially not going to be stopping here either. This means Nunhead residents are going to have an even more reduced service than they do now. The platforms in the morning are already packed as are the peak hour trains so I'm not sure how the train companies can justify these needs for reduced services? Louise
  11. Yes- Not sure if they do a children's menu but there were children in both of them when I've been.
  12. If you like Franco Manca and Theo's, you'll like Made of Dough- it's very good. Also worth trying Bona in Forest Hill as well as its of a similar ilk and really good as well.
  13. Hi- Adam did a general clean up and returfed our garden a couple of weeks ago. He did a great job, the lawn looks fantastic and has taken really well. All very reasonably priced also!
  14. Does anyone know if Fernando will do lawn returfing?
  15. Thanks for confirming Singalto. You were saying Jeremy...?
  16. They were hacked and have reported it to the police. I have known Jen and Hector since they opened the Crooked Well and anyone who's ever had any contact with them would know that they would categorically never post something like this. I really hope all those jumping on the hate bandwagon will get back in their boxes as I'd hate for this to negatively affect the businesses that they have worked so hard to build up.
  17. The problem also lies with the massive rent and rate hikes that are hitting London and in the case of Retail the drop in ?? has also meant the cost of buying product to sell has also hit the bottom line massively. The company I work for pays as much as we can afford above the minimum wage but to hit the London living wage it would mean store closures as we'd be losing money and therefore loss of jobs. It's not a small operation so if even we can't afford to do it then I know we aren't alone. However to Ottas point, we do have good benefits and sick pay as well as not having 0 hour contracts but all of those things also eat into our ability to pay the LLW....
  18. If you want to learn automatic, I'd highly recommend Tunde Racz, who you can contact through the Lanes Driving school. She has just the right balance between being chatty and making you feel comfortable while at the same time giving excellent, thorough and constructive feedback. She is also a mum with 2 kids so is very patient!
  19. Try Chais Garden in Nunhead, near Telegraph Hill (Gellately Rd) It's not on Deliveroo but they do deliver. I'm Australian and while it's not up to Aussie standard Thai, it's def a big step up from Lux.
  20. Hi all, I've just requested to join the FB group also. I'm in Nunhead and 1st baby due on the 1st July. Louise X
  21. Brick house bakery on Zenoria Rd ED and Old Spike roastery on Peckham Rye.
  22. The Camberwell Arms has a big upstairs room and I think the Rosendale in West Dulwich can be hired out for weddings..
  23. Not on a budget but a comfortable seat and a decent screen are all the same in the dark whether you pay a fiver or ?12-13...I'd prefer to spend the money on a nice meal!
  24. Also on at Peckham Plex, not as fancy as ED but you can't go wrong for ?5!
