Hello, can anyone recommend a really good routine book for toddlers? Doesn't really matter if both boys and girls but am starting to understand that boys do act quite differently from girls after hours of watching play group activity...

Am at an age now (17 months) where I know my son understands consequences a little and he is starting to get a little pushy which is exhausting especially at night as am not getting much sleep. Wasn't previously a baby book person as went on 'gut' instinct, but realising I could now do with some pointers.

Have looked at Gina Ford's toddler book on Amazon but slightly put off due to her school ma'am attitude in the contented baby book. Maybe her toddler book is better though?

Any pointers gratefully received....

I'm from New Zealand, and we all use a wonderful book called.

'Of course i love you, now go to your room'..

It is really clear at setting out boundaries, learning to use discipline and talks about the different personality styles.

Its a really great read and the author, Diane Levy, is a wonderful woman who has spent alot of years helping families to deal with behavioural issues.

    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….

    • And another one, number 6, has just gone passed as well!  I presume that the LTNs are blocking them from a more useful route. Or the surrounding road works.
