Please Help me - Bereavement counselling help, Feeling Lonely and Depressed, Free Help Please

Recommended Posts

Many suggestions have been made on ways in which help can be got and people have tried meeting with you. As I have previously explained I feel for you having had a similar loss, However you may find that people on this forum do not feel capable of meeting and discussing bereavement as it may well bring back their own pain that they have worked through themselves. I hope you can see that, please try some of the groups that have been mentioned to help you move on or seek professional help initially through your GP. Delaying this will only further extend the period you grieve for.

Everyone copes with bereavement in different ways, if as you say you are finding it hard to cope and boy it can be really hard, then please seek some of the help mentioned earlier in this thread so you can try to move on and get your life back together, if you don't the pain will only continue to eat away inside and ultimately make you ill.

Find someone that really cares, as I have experience with talking to neighbours and friends who don't give a fig, and have had to bottle it. I've lost friends because of it. Counselling helps short term, as they only offer short sessions, on their terms.

I hope you're doing alright and getting out and about.

The sadness may not go away, but it can be managed.

All the best

    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!
    • Looking for a short length of electric (twin & earth)  lighting cable. Most likely there could be some in a skip near you??
    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
    • I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
