Just discovered this old thread. What happens at the Constitutional Club? How does it survive? Who are its members and where do they live? So many questions...

I'm going to speculate that whoever they are, they have an ageing and declining membership (institutions like that often do), and are a time capsule of an old East Dulwich that is fast fading away. Am I right? If so, it can't go on forever, and will have to be reinvented at some point to reflect the change in the surrounding community. It would be a great place for a local independent cinema. Just a thought.

I was a member of the Constitutional club years ago, and then swooped to the Liberal club because it was cheaper for beer. Don't get why people have to get political about it, most of the working class people who use said venue and those similar are just ordinary people wanting a cheap pint. Trust the middle classes to turn it into something political lol.. Just saying..
