Advice on rats accessing terrace flat through neighbour's drains, but they will not act

Hi lovely community,

I'm hoping to leverage the wisdom of this forum. We have a rat problem - they're in the floor/ceiling cavities in our property. We've had 6 hours of investigative assessment from Aspect who believe the rats are accessing via the property next door. We're had workmen try to fill the access point with wire wool and expandable foam, but they're just not able to find (or perhaps aren't finding all) access points from our side. The landlord of the property next door refuses to act to investigate or do any work on his side.

Does anyone have advice on what to do with rats in adjoining properties/sets of flats?

Call Southwark Environmental Health, they'll come and assess and if necessary serve notice on the landlord to take preventative measures - if they agree the problem lies on his side.
