Have been happily using the maxicosi pebble and isofix for nearly 6mths, but tonight when I removed the car seat, the base started alarming and the light that indicates the chair is clipped in properly was flashing. The only way to stop it was to clip the seat back in which isn't ideal.

Any ideas oh fountain of parental trivia!! :-S

Haven't experienced that with mine but as I understand it the lights only come on a short while, maybe leave it without the seat and go back to it to see if it's stopped flashing 5 mins later.

I was told when I bought mine that the lights would only go green if the seat was attached properly and all was working fine, probably worth getting it checked out though just for peace of mind. We bought ours at Mothercare on the Old Kent Road, they do a fitting service etc so could probably help.

    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
    • Truly horrific. Being passive or fighting back is what many of us think about by violent theft.
    • What ridiculous waste of money
    • Lots of good primary schools within reach of there. Fairlawn, Goodrich, Ivydale and Horiman. Secondary schools you will definitely get into the Harris Academies or Sydenham Girls or Forest Hill Boys, you might just be on the boundary for the East Dulwich or North Dulwich Charter but it changes every year.
