Hot on the heels of Father Christmas (I grudgingly go along with him) and his Elves (cant quite bring myself to assist my children in believing in them!) comes the Tooth Fairy (feeling very dodgy about this night-visiting, money-giving piece of fiction) and now, to top it all, the B$%&*dy Easter Bunny. Aaaargh, Do all kids beleive in all of these magical, mythical beings?
Yes, I agree, it's the Easter Bunny that has sent me over the edge. My older two say I have to uphold the Easter Bunny or all other mythical creatures are in doubt for the little ones.... but I dont like him. We have also had queries about dummy fairy (no dummies here so she's unlikely to visit) and news from school that everyone has their own personal angel to watch over them. Too many magical beings for me to manage!!!

I do't ever remember believing in the easter bunny. Think it's a more recent import.

Agree that the tooth fairy is cool though.

I was working with a 15 year old lad recently, and he was talking about what Santa was going to bring him. He has a twin brother with a severe learning disability, so I guess the parents have kept it up for him, and so this guy also believes it by default. I was trying to explain to him that he might want to keep quiet about Santa, when chatting to people at school!

    • Generally speaking, some medium size market towns and lesser cities always seem more  prone to random violence and aggro generally than anywhere I’ve been in London
    • Familiarity is important, I lived near Brixton in the old days and was fairly comfortable, but for many years avoided Peckham.  That has reversed in the last 15 years.   I recall around Dalston and the A10 and burned out cars.  Now super trendy. Pub violence has largely gone but that was groups of men getting drunk on Saturday night and brawling.  Similarly little football violence, East Dulwich/West Peckham was edgy last century.
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️   Rod comes highly recommended. He recently completed a challenging job in my garden, fox-proofing an outhouse using a large amount of hardcore and slate. The work involved a great deal of effort, but Rod handled it with professionalism and care from start to finish.   He specialises in working with stone, and it really shows in the quality of his work. He is also an incredibly hard worker, tackling the project with determination and skill. Throughout, he was responsive and reliable, always keeping me updated and communicating clearly.   I really appreciated the practical advice he offered along the way, which showed both his experience and his commitment to doing the job properly. On top of all that, his pricing was very reasonable, and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.   If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, hardworking, and knowledgeable, Rod is an excellent choice.
