Posts about cleaners (and fake ones too)

I am getting really annoyed with the amount of cleaners repeatedly posting on here, especially fake posts for Lilyana and Polina. I am currently deleting about 10 posts a day from 'cleaners' who do not follow the rules on posting in this section, if they cannot follow my simple rules think what they could do to your favourite carpet.

Obvious advice: Make sure you get real i.e. written/verbal references for your cleaners, if they are lying and posting fake messages on here they are probably wanting to rob your house, OK I'm exaggerating but I'm just trying to make a point.

Joanna , there is a simple rule that states you must post your East Dulwich trading address. You have never done that. Ever. I have pointed out the rules to you three times and you have never followed the simple first one.

It is not a case of simply being annoyed, it is wasting my time having to delete your messages (and that of other cleaners) because you cannot follow the simple rules. There's a bit in the rules that says "Unfortunately we do not have time to tell people off and check to find out where companies are based .... so all we can do is remove their post." but you did not read that did you or you would know why your posts were removed.

You seem to forget that this is a free service that you and your girls are benefiting from. Please just follow the rules.

You have to be based in East Dulwich to place a free ad on this forum because one of the purposes of this forum is to help and promote East Dulwich businesses.

You are not based in East Dulwich therefore you cannot advertise for free on the forum, even if you cry foul, and cry discrimination against cleaners, and then say you wanna be local but you're actually not. I say that you tried to misdirect the proceedings by not following the rules because you couldn't follow the rules without actually breaking them. Dispite the cries of "to the ducking stool!" I can hear from the crowds, let's call an end to this charade and simply say that you can no longer use the East Dulwich Forum to promote your SE19 business.

There is a Norwood Forum you know.

All I can say is that the people under different usernames keep posting recommendations for Polina and Ilyana.

They maybe legit cleaners but they are abusing the forum and lying to get people's business.

Domestic Shine simply kept posting ads for themselves on the forum but as they're not an East Dulwich based company their posts were removed.

Certainly, this thread is about fake posts by cleaners and the frequency some of them post and how annoying they are and how am taking action against them, it is not the place for people to be recommending SE15 cleaners.

    • There's probably a bigger discussion on why we celebrate Christmas (pagan/religious festival) and why everything has to shut down.  I've enjoyed Xmas days in Spain, Mexico and France where some businesses and restaurants are open, and in a number of non-Christrian countries.  In both sets of occasions it has been festive, but not over the top and the Spanish seem to have a more relaxed attitude in a country where the church is probably more important than the UK.  A Lounge conversation.  I'll no doubt be popping into the Forest Hill Road supermarket on Xmas day for things we have forgotten, with many others in a similar situation who grew up in the Christian faith (I've long since been an atheist).
    • Would anyone have ends of balls of wool, any colour, to mend an old blanket? Any colour? With thanks Mila
    • I’m not a Gail’s fan but there’s no reason a business shouldn’t open on Christmas Day. However, nobody should be compelled to work the day which, given the widespread coverage of Gail’s questionable employment practices, has to be a possibility here.  The only business I ever use on the 25th is maybe a pub and that’s a rarity these days but buses running would be very welcome for visiting etc. But the swings in the park should definitely remain chained up. Are parks even open on Christmas Day?
    • To be honest, pal, it's not good being a fan of a local business and then not go there. One on hand, the barber shop literally next door to Romeo Jones started serving coffee. The Crown and Greyhound and Rocca serve coffee. Redemption Coffee opened up not far away, and then also Megan's next door to that. DVillage was serving coffee (but wasn't very popular), as was Au Ciel (which is). Maybe also Heritage Cheese, I don't know. There's also Flotsam and Jetsam doing coffee and sandwiches at Dulwich Picture Gallery in the other direction. The whole of Dulwich Village serves coffee. And yet on the other hand, there are enough punters to support all good coffee shops. With the exception of Rocca and Megan's (which are both big spaces) and C&G (which does coffee like everything else - slow and with bad service), all these places regularly get queues out the door. Gail's often has big queues and yet very few people crossed the street to Romeo Jones (which was much better)... Half the staff at Gail's are perfectly fine and efficient. The other half are pretty offhand and rude. It's certainly not welcoming or friendly service. But they're certainly hard working, and no doubt raking the money in for Luke Johnson...
