Recommendation for Landscape Gardner - Decking

This is a review of Landscape Gardener Stephen Young from my husband - an architect who is very picky about this kind of thing!

We employed Stephen Young ([email protected]) to replace 25sqm of our existing rotten decking. He came up with some good improvements from the original deck, was reasonably priced, honest about when he could start, easy to get on with, friendly to the kids, didn't cut corners, did a good job and made a good effort at not making the inside of the house dirty (everything had to come through the house). We'd definitely use him again.

I booked Stephen Young on the strength of MightyMouse's recommendation which I found on the Forum, he has just finished the work and I am really delighted with what he has done. I asked him to remove and fill in a large and stagnant pond, to remove some rotten decking and build a substantial stone step in its place, and to tidy up the garden generally, including adding extra gravel. The stone step in particular is excellent as he cleverly reused old materials and as a result it looks like it has been there forever. He is very good to deal with and he works in an orderly and tidy way. I therefore would highly recommend him for any landscaping work.

    • Ugly...maybe..does it bother me..NO! I think its somehow reassuring to see theres still phoneboxes around. East Dulwich may well be getrified but there may well be some elderly people who don't have mobiles and kids who may have lost theirs adults ditto etc etc. I'd rather keep it than lose it...just because i don't use it does'nt mean its not needed.  there are many eyesores in the modern world not all of them as potentially useful.
    • I strongly recommend Balayage salon in Lordship lane as everytime I visit, they make me feel very spicial with thier profisionalism and care.   I have been going there for the last 10 years maybe more, and will never exchange them for any other. They are profisional, welcoming and they also always have an offer. I feel like a new woman every time. X
    • The Pain de Campagne. The fruit breads look and smell good too but my missing teeth must include the sweet one.
    • Do tell me more. Is this we've all gone to hell in a handcart alarmist stuff?
