philiphenslowe
I'm looking for some advice about where to go for a few days of relaxation + B&B/hotel suggestions.I will be travelling on my own + I'm finding it difficult to not pay over the odds for single accommodation. I just want to go somewhere warm (not hot) to relax + read books. My husband doesn't get much time off work and we're having a 'big' holiday to Africa in August. So, I'm looking for peace + quiet, somewhere cheap + cheerful in Europe and a B&B with a balcony, nice views just for 4-5 days any time from now - early June.I'm completely open to suggestions. Can you help? Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/16587-solo-european-holiday-destination/ Share on other sites
sanity girl
Hi, the Cinque Terre area on the Ligurian coast in Italy is beautiful. I've done a few weekends there on my own in the past. You can easily rent private rooms in any of the villages. PM me if you want more info. Ruffler
Hi, there. Lake Garda in early summer is lovely. Not sure if this fits your budget, but Crystal Lakes & Mountains do all inclusive packages to various resorts around the lake. We stayed at the Hotel Castell in Limone last year and had a great time. The rooms are a bit basic, but all have balconies with the most spectacular views of the lake and surrounding area. http://www.crystalsummer.co.uk/destinations/italy/limone/025029/025029.html Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/16587-solo-european-holiday-destination/#findComment-425207 Share on other sites
mockney piers
Dubrovnik. Stay down the road from the old town in the little bay of Lapad. I stayed in a little flat with a lemon tree on the balcony overlooking the bay. About a 20 minute walk to the stunning medieval walled city. witsd
Just come back from Budapest. Slightly warmer than here, interesting to look at and pretty cheap. (?1.60 cocktails? Yes please!)The thermal baths are awesome if you like that kind of thing.
