  1. My son's Giant ATX mountain bike stolen from outside Cuppo Bubbo in Herne Hill at 4.15pm this afternoon. Blue and orange frame, like the one in the image (not actual bike). Just in case anyone sees it up for sale locally - please get in touch if so!
  2. Bought in 2016 (can provide paperwork from Islabikes). Some light scratches on frame consistent with normal use. Size will suit age 8+ (see more about sizing on Islabikes website) Bike can be viewed in West Dulwich. £295 (retails new for £499)
  3. You can recycle fabrics at H&&M in Brixton - they have bins by the tills
  4. I'd say it's best to go and visit the schools yourself with your son and decide for yourselves which you like the look of best. I know children at all three schools and they are all happy and doing well.
  5. My daughter has been very happy with her haircuts at Headmasters on Lordship Lane - she's used a couple of stylists - I think one has left now, but Lol and Nicole are both very good. I think they offer a reduced rate for teens.
  6. I haven't been to this one but it is in the Jura so should be warm in August and driveable https://www.venueholidays.com/UK/jura/camping_village_le_fayolan I have booked through Venue Holidays before and they are very good. I love this site - but it is in South of France so a bit further to travel - we take the Eurostar to Marseille and then hire a car https://www.lapascalinette.com/
  7. A long shot, but my daughter dropped her pink card holder (Oliver Bonas, pink with "G" print) with debit card and Oyster photocard somewhere between the No. 3 bus stop outside Brockwell Park and the No. 37 bus stop on Half Moon Lane this morning. If you happened to pick it up please PM me.
  8. Re-use them, use as bin liners, or recycle through Ocado when I get my supermarket delivery
  9. Haribo or fun size chocolate e.g. twix, mars etc
  10. I do it myself - little bits at a time each day, and then an occasional blitz. I used to have a cleaner but don't any more for money reasons, and also because I find that after a while they stop being so thorough. You might find this blog/website useful - ignore the mummy stuff - her advice is really useful for anyone https://www.theorganisedmum.blog/
  11. Morocco - Marrakech/ Essaouira? Madeira?
  12. South London Youth Theatre do fantastic summer workshops - one for ages 8-12 and one for 13-19. I'm not sure if there are still places but worth having a look http://slyt.co.uk/index.php/summer-workshop/
  13. Eurocamp can be pricey. Take a look at Venue Holidays as they tend to be better value. We just stayed with them at a site near Venice and had a great time. https://www.venueholidays.com/ In the south of France we've stayed at this place https://www.lapascalinette.com/ (arranged directly with campsite) and really liked it - not too big, lovely pool and waterslides and a short drive to beaches, supermarket etc. We're going back this summer at the end of August - prices get cheaper from the last weekend of August onwards.
  14. We stayed at this place 2 years ago - as above got the Eurostar direct to Marseille then hired a car. We're going back this summer! Last week of August is a good time to go as the prices drop and it gets a bit quieter. Lovely pool, waterslides and water play section and it's a short drive to the beach. https://www.lapascalinette.com/
  15. Agree it's annoying - to avoid the problem you can order online where there's a bigger selection and arrange for free delivery to the store - or take your business elsewhere - I think M&S uniform is much better, although it is more expensive. Another alternative is to buy secondhand - most school PTAs arrange uniform sales
  16. Thank you! Will try what they suggest on there when I have a spare hour or two... gingerchris Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Might not be the direct help you were hoping for > but this link might help - > https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/Orig > in-is-not-running-message-d3382ced-984c6a38-000000 > 00/td-p/4172403 > > I remember the agony of waiting for my Dad to > figure out how to install Earthworm Jim 20 odd > years ago so I hope it's helpful!
  17. My daughter got this game for her birthday. We've attempted to download it on my laptop (from disc) but are having problems getting it to run. Says all downloaded by then tells us that the game cannot play unless origins is running. I really don't have a clue about these things - sure it is a simple fix and wondered if anyone has been through the process and could help? Please?? There's wine/chocolate in it for you!
  18. I've seen this one a few times in our communal garden - scurrying about and playing with the others in the big horse chestnut tree. I also remember the Ruskin Park albino squirrel
  19. Was also going to suggest H&M for recycling textiles. You can take small electrical sto Curry?s in Brixton for recycling
  20. I think it depends on age/experience/ whether they are ofsted registered etc. The babysitters I use (recent graduates/students looking for extra work/cash) have a rate of ?8 per hour. I know people who use local teenagers who ask for less - around ?6 per hour. More experienced nannies or childminders will have a higher rate
  21. Bowling at Elephant and Castle, Streatham Ice Rink
  22. Me too. I always feel worse at this time of year when there's less natural daylight. The best thing for me is to spend time out of doors, but that's difficult when you're stuck at a desk most of the day and then dealing with kids in the evening. Worth getting your iron/vit d/ thyroid levels checked too.
