Came home from work yesterday on Underhill road to find a big stack of what looks like Tar for a driveway on our front path in our front garden ... A/ we don't have a drive and B/ we didn't order it.

I have attached a photo of what it looks like, I don't think its been dumped as its been neatly stacked, and its new and still wrapped in plastic.

Would appreciate if anyone can help as its a bit tricky manoeuvring past it in the morning :/

If is Afghan black my reply would be the same as if it was Liquorice.

I am Keen to find out who's placed it here still and find its rightful owners... (also keen as who ever left it here can repair any damage to the path too they might have caused)

emu> That looks like Tar used for a flat roof, so best off

emu> looking for someone that's got some roofing work happening.

Just in case someone searches online for the stuff, let's throw a few more keywords into the mix:

Misdelivered Underhill East Dulwich SE22 5663 CROMAR Oxidised bitumen slab grade 9525 23kg keg 5 September 2017

All sorted, just as I was leaving for work this morning two guys asked me to move my car, I asked why to which they said they needed to get equipment around the back to resurface a balcony and flat roof at my flat ... I pointed out I was on the ground floor and had neither. So one of the guys phoned his builder mate and said he thought he told him to deliver to (my) address... to which after a few expletives to said mate on the phone, I was sheepishly informed they were meant to be at a property the other end of Underhill.. the address no where near similar to mine apart from road name.

Hoping its all been shifted by the time I get home :)

Thanks for all the suggestions anyway.

    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!

    • Why would mice move? It’s not so much they move as multiply and spread    copy and paste rather than cut and paste  mice can and should be dealt with.  But not easily or with guarantees  i would say most people in se22 reading this have mice. Whether they know it or not
