I have just started a new website design business From ?7.50pw, Extra 10% Off for EDF Members!

Weeklywebsite

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have made a leap of starting my own web design business, the idea is that there is no large upfront costs for a website build and the customers can pay on a weekly basis for their custom website.

My prices start from ?7.50 per week for a website including domain name rising to ?25 for online shop/ more advanced website.

The idea behind the weekly website is that it is low risk to new start up business/update current Business/personal websites with no long contracts. Flexible and modern beautiful websites hosted, designed and managed.

I live in East Dulwich and the EDF is the first place I am making the business known as I need a portfolio for when I advertise over the UK.

If you require a website built visit my new website.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated and honest reviews are welcomed.

I am offering a money back guarantee if you are unhappy with the website also for a peace of mind!

10% off for all EDF members!

At the checkout enter EDFORUM (CAPS ON) for 10% off all packages.

Thanks

Just some friendly feedback, and as flagged up by siousxsiesue above, you absolutely must make sure there aren't any grammatical howlers, otherwise people will instantly walk on by. Why would anyone want a website with spelling mistakes?

How do you plan to 'exceed our exceptions'?

Looks great otherwise, all the best with it! :)

Thank you for your feedback and kind words, the spelling mistakes were on the forum and not on the website.

The customer writes the content for the website they would like created on the design page, before we publish a website we check for mistakes and go over the draft with the customer first.

Your feedback is appreciated.

We have just completed a standard package here.

We are offering EDF members 10% off all packages for the lifetime of the website.

Using promo code EDFORUM

I hope to see some more locals getting websites designed.

Thank You

Well, no......

This is from the 'Our Mission' section of your website

".....with our dedicated web designers working around the clock to exceed your exceptions."

Not giving you a hard time for the sake of it, but you've asked for feedback - I'm a potential punter who would see that and move on. You say the client writes the content - fine, but you need the client in the first place. This is your virtual shop window. All the best. H

Hi HelBel,

Thank you so much for pointing this typo out to me, I have now updated my website.

Thanks for your advice & feedback it is appreciated and exactly what I was seeking, I hope this has not put you off trying my services and I hope to see an order from you soon! :)

This is a message referring to the EDF member that messaged me privately.

This may be of interest of other members regarding my service, I was asked how I make revisions on the website created and I have now implemented a private portal where customers can view the site being created and make changes as required, alongside compliments, changes and general revisions.

I am in the process of making a video tutorial of how to use the portal which will be on the website in the next few days for the less tech savvy.

Here is a live example of how changes to your website can be fed back to me and changed without going back and forth with timely emails.

This is a demo website created and feel free to mess around with it :)

Basic instructions:

1. Click top right corner to add a comment.

2. Move the purple dot to the area you wish to comment on/ change.

3. Use a smiley face Emoji to express how you feel about that part of your website.

4. Send

5. I receive your request and change as required.

Thank you to everyone that has private messaged me and we hope to be working with some of you very soon.

Sorry, but I didn't take kindly to you sending me a PM, under the heading I had put on another thread, advertising your

business. Unsolicited, and conned me into thinking it was about something else.

    • The other consideration is that users of Lime bikes and similar, plus younger pedal cyclists, probably don't view themselves as 'cyclists' as such and so don't get kitted out or even consider that they need to. I also agree that earlier nights are another factor for the casual or hire bike user more used to cycling in the summer. I don't think I have ever seen a hire bike or scooter user wearing a helmet or reflective gear- presumably that is because the bike is just viewed as a transport tool for short term use and users do not want to be encumbered by any of the safety gear? Before anyone jumps on me for anecdotal evidence and speculation, this is just what I have seen round here, there may be hordes of similar users elsewhere that are kitted out.
    • Well apolitical if that is an OK word for you.  Sorry if my choice of words was incorrect.  But on my original point if it wasn't for the Telegraph dragging this up, and yes they do have an agenda, an no they are not apolitical/impartial whatever, we;d be none the wiser. But as it made no difference to Trump's election campaign that why would he have a case in the American courts? Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the programme
    • If she took a bus, has she tried contacting the bus company? Long shot, but you never know!
    • Not really the point, though? I doubt cyclists who dress like this in the dark are or have been car drivers? Surely if they were they would be more aware of visibility issues? They are a real danger to themselves and others.
