Hi my name is frank I know a really good person for u he has qualifications in electrical work and he does small basics in plumbing and most other carpentry etc , what I like about this person is that he will not lie and pretend he can do the work just to get it , but he will always be honest and say what he can't and can do always willing to try , and easy to work with if u want to get hands on but just need a hand , my number is 07713740336 so if u r interested in talking to him then Jonathan is he's name and I can send he's details onto u

Thanks

My husband does diy jobs over Saturdays as over weekdays he does his main jobs. Worth discussing with him, he also has excellent reputation on this forum.

    • You have to use the right extinguisher for the type of fire - water/foam not to be used for live electrical fires for example. A quick Google says powder extinguishers can be used on the most different types of fire. In a public/commercial setting fire extinguishers have to be serviced every year. Not sure the recommendation for residential ones, but when you buy extinguishers and fire blankets check if there's an expiry date.
    • Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe…  I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances
    • Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣.
