Creche on Lordship Lane

I've heard rumours about a drop off creche at the top of Lordship Lane where you can leave your DC for the odd morning of afternoon. Does anyone have more details?

Yes, Magic Moments, it's in Bew Court which is part of the Lordship Lane estate.

It's not really an "odd morning or afternoon" setup though - it's open every morning except Wednesday from 10 - 12 and you send your child along the same mornings every week (although once they are attending it's usually no problem to do an additional morning here and there if need be).

Both of my children have been, and my youngest is still there 3 mornings a week. It operates term time only and is a truly lovely place run by a group of ladies who are brilliant with children. A very "cuddly" environment which is a great stepping stone before they hit the real world of preschool.

How far in advance do you recommend booking a place? Is it like the nursuries that fill up so quickly round here?

It's full at the start of the week atm but not thurs or fri

Booking a few months beforehand would no harm... It's less of a well kept secret than it was !

When my son started I went to look round on Thursday and he started the following Tuesday! Still spaces, and likely to be quite a few more come September when a number of the children (my daughter included) move to school nursery. I think I'll be in tears as will miss the ladies so much - they're like my 2nd Mums :)

Yes my twins will be leAving too after 2 years there! But new baby hopefully start there next easter
