yeknomyeknom
I would like to obtain childhood medical records from Bromley and Lewisham hospitals but do not know specifically which ones. There is no one to ask to get more information on hospital specifics. All I know is that there was two hospital admittances whislt living in these boroughs. When I look online it seems I would have to apply directly to the specific hospital where treatment happened. Does anyone know if there is a broader place to apply, a centralised place as such? sweetgirl
email pals at the hospital concerned & they should be able to direct you.alternatively email them with your nhs number & other personal details & ask about getting access to old records.Maybe worth querying if they have the records firstly dependant on how long ago it was. I recently went to guys for an op. to my surprise they had no records of me there.that was my birth hospital!Hope that helps. yeknomyeknom
Unfortunately it was 30 years ago and we have no idea of hospital only a guess of 2 boroughs. Thanks for all thoughts. Looks like we might be out of luck. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/167736-childhood-medical-records/#findComment-1178875 Share on other sites
EDmummy
I do not know the retention requirements for health documents but if they are still available, unless they are your records it's unlikely that you will be able to access sensitive personal information without obtaining legal advice.
