Dondee
Just had lunch here with my 2 babies.. I couldn't help but notice how many flies there was. Turns out that the nappy bin in the toilet is literally full to the brim, a few nappies from overflow!! When I mentioned it to staff I was told they wasn't allowed to touch it due to health and safety.. I'm sure this is the case. But, isn't the health and safety compromised also by the smell, the flies and general unhygienic state of the changing area?? Rolo Tomasi
Might be helpful if parents/carers put used nappies in the bins outside the cafe instead of piling them on top? Just a thought. contented sow
Pretty grim in there. Putting nappies in bins outside would be an excellent idea. Had the bins not all been removed... Pugwash
It is usually the responsibility of the cleaner who undertakes the daily clean of the toilets to change the bins. Many places where there is a large footfall clean twice daily. If there is overflowing bins - what is the general state of the toilets? DMW23
Probably best not to have your lunch in the toilet. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/169091-toilet-in-the-peckham-rye-cafe/#findComment-1181101 Share on other sites

hammerman
I wouldn't like to be a cleaner to be confronted with overflowing nappy bins! Maybe that wasn't in their job description who knows? I put any changed nappies in my own bag if I come across something like this and take it home. Dondee
Yes I told the staff in the cafe, they said they wasn?t allowed to touch it. It was an outside company that clears the nappy bin. It hadn?t been changed for a good few days the lady said Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/169091-toilet-in-the-peckham-rye-cafe/#findComment-1181596 Share on other sites
