  1. Dear Forum, I’m a local SE22 ASC consultant who works on projects in schools for Hammersmith and Fulham EHCP team during term time. I have time over the summer break for local families in need of support. I can advise on best steps towards accessing support and can work with families to set up and run intervention programmes, these can be fun! I can feed into an ASC diagnosis and support families in their application, but diagnosis requires a full team of professionals, I do not diagnose. I do charge, but I can keep my fees relatively low, see below. Do PM me for further info, Best wishes, Vicky Case Study - This is for example only and can vary.Initial telephone consultation - Free of chargeInitial assessment - 1h home, 1h in playground/ nursery/ school setting.Formal assessment including goal setting - 2h's (1h with parents and 1h to write up).Maintenance - 1h per week, or every other week or every month. This can be a 30 min session and 30min me putting some advice / resources together. Parents often need these 4 - 5h's for the initial assessment, strategy session and setting up of intervention systems. From that point 1h a week to bed in and trouble shoot intervention and from there on maybe 1h a month to update the programme as things progress. During this time we could also be working on possible early nursery school placement and possibly help finding a 1:1 learning support assistant to help them settle in. I am able to keep fees lower for families in the SE22, SE23 and SE6 area.

  4. Hi all, We need a new cooker, we have 2 hobs and half an oven left working but can?t agree on what to replace it with, so I thought I would ask the good people of the forum. Any thoughts?
  5. As a parent and a SEN specialist I feel the need to speak up for schools. They are not represented here. All schools are under the most incredible pressure for SEN and I am seeing professionals going the extra mile every single day. We were not at the conversation re ?cognitive impairment?, an inclusive school may well have such a class and this can helpful as it separates some SEN needs from children with other needs more along the lines of emotional / behaviour problems. Also please don?t assume a school would not have acted on a safeguarding concern. They just might not have mailed you back to tell you their response as it was not necessary. There is an avalanche of safeguarding at the moment and I am not seeing schools dropping the ball on issues like this. I know the thread was asking around a particular school but I hope a SEN perspective from inside schools is a useful addition to the discussion.
  6. I would recommend Charter East Dulwich, especially having seen their friends go off to different schools and being able to compare experiences. One thing to note though, wherever they go, if they go with a few of their friends they tend to be happy whatever!

  9. In all fairness the rye was a mess when they the first time and took months for the grass to grow back. There were ruts and holes for ages. I?m not against the gala and hope everyone has fun but let?s not pretend it has no impact. I?m not sure how you repair that stuff quickly. 10. Hi all, Looking for a bit of advice. I have a bundle of things to get done in Brighton, (Hanover), and if anyone knows of a forum like this there could you point me at it? I have searched around and have found lots of loose ends but nothing as helpful as the EDF. Thanks
  11. A lot of conditions leave people disabled but still able to drive. It used to be a common misconception that disability = wheelchair.
  12. There have been a few, I think people are having bonfires of some weird things, there was a horrid plastic burning smell along Friern road on Sunday.
  13. Hi, With the library?s closed my kids have run out of books. Does anyone have any Terry Pratchett Diskworld books they would be happy to exchange for some loo roll, or money!
  14. Sounds like a busy time of year, and it?s really thoughtful of you to want so much for your kids. Also there is no shame in a tray bake when things are piling up x Edited to add..... a traybake with Lego dudes or a dinosaur on.
  15. Thats sad, I had gotten into the idea of it being a giant exotic bird poo.
  16. Maybe a giant bird poo, if so poor bird, definitely not well. Car cleaners thought it was flour and water.
  17. Hi ianer, You are totally right. The lady may well have been about to offer help. I was fairly weirded out by the time she came out so legged it! 19. Hi, I parked halfway along Ashbourne Grove today, when I got out of the car there were two bins on the street on the pavement but I looked up the road an a lot of bins were out so I went off to do my jobs. I got back 2h later and there was yellow gloopy stuff all over my windscreen. I rang the doors of the nearest houses as they might have seen something, no reply. A man walked by and I asked him if he had seen anything and he said he didn?t park there as cars got damaged. I took photos of my car and the house to remember where it had happened, a lady came charging out of the house and I realised the person parking before me must have moved her bins. Someone who would trash a car so easily was not someone you wanted coming at you fast and cross so I got in the car, turned the wipers on and got away as fast as poss, straight to the car wash. What the!!!!!!!!!
  20. I would say squirrels as they are always digging up my freshly planted pots, but apparently they hate geraniums. Foxes? Edited to say sorry, missed last post!
