recommendations pls - looking for football club for 8 yr old boy

Am looking for a new place for our 8 yr old to go to football club/kick around/class/training. He has been doing weekly lessons for the last 3 years but has just outgrown the age group and in the next age group up there aren't enough boys for a proper game so I'm loathe to rebook as I don't think he'd get that much out of it and wondered where other people's kids go for this kind of club and what the options are locally. Our children played with Athenlay (couple of years ago now mind). They have various teams, most seem to train on Peckham rye. Just checked and they have a facebook page which I guess has contact details.
