lilolil
My son had his Honda bike stolen last night from outside our house in Hindmans Road. It is a 17 plate and has a box on the back which unfortunately had all of his tools in. So now, no work and no tools.Any information gladly received Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/169346-potential-bike-thieves-when-will-this-stop/#findComment-1181435 Share on other sites
Growlybear
However wrong it is for someone to try to steal your bike, are you sure you're allowed to publish CCTV footage like this on the internet? You can film anyone in a public place and use the footage if it not for profit. Even under the DPA, domestic CCTV gets an exemption. PeckhamRose
And PLEASE don't forget to always report crimes no matter your opinion of the police. Even if you think they won't do anything, if people do not report crimes then the government can say "There's no crimes! Let's reduce the fuding for police!" On a related matter, I am applying for a CleanerGreenerSafer Award funding. Near me are several designated motorcycle bays but they are lacking rails with which to attach D-locks to. (Ground Anchors are all very well but people with D-Locks can't use them easily if at all.) The local councillor says that you can apply for ground anchors. But I am applying for CGS funding so that the designated motorcycle bays can be made safer for bikers. Apply for them! Robert_F
Sad state of affairs and can't see it stopping any time soon. Very frustrating. If only there were a secure communal garage! kford
Good for you. This has happened to me over half a dozen times in the last few years. Only a ground anchor, cover and alarms has stopped it. Robert_F
I noticed this morning that the police have spray painted a warning sign about locking up your bike/scooter on the pavement outside Oddono's on Lordship Lane.
