Greetings,

We're an organisation that pursues and endorses traditional Saxon values, and we strive to promote those values wherever and whenever there's anyone willing to listen to our message. Our organisation was founded over 15 years ago and we have a presense all over London and the Home Counties with retreats in Harrow, Bromley, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Kent, Glouchester, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. We're currently establishing ourselves in south London by reaching out to communities by leafleting and online. Current policy prevents us from approaching local media outlets due to the unpredictable exposure they've attracted in the past.

We accept members from all walks of life that want to celebrate and promote their Saxon heritage. Activities include historical lectures, educational workshops, excursions, annual camps (sometimes abroad) and anything that will enrich our members' understanding of their Saxon roots and heritage. And we don't just cater for adults. Members' children are invited to joing our Young Folk programme upon joining. We also have the capacity to provide short to long-term accomodation and assistance to vulnerable members after a basic approval proceedure. We're also a group that encourages and accomodates an environment for those who've lost their way in life and want to start afresh - and we respect that by not asking any unnecessarily intrusive questions. And in case any prospective applicants have any concerns about legitimacy, we currently have 500+ members in the south east London area alone, but that's early days.

We're a private organisation and go to great lengths to protect that privacy as we've been subject to unproductive media scrutiny and biased prejudice in the past. We do not want to repeat that experience as it's damaging to both our image and disruptive to what we're working towards: a community in which members can live their lives in harmony with Saxon values.

If you're interested in joining, don't reply to this posting. Just send us a private message and you'll be provided with a landline telephone number and further details. Full membership is ?50 a year to cover expenses with no further financial obligations, which is clearly outlined in the member's contract. Our London office is in BexleyHeath.

Thanks for reading, and we look forward to hearing from you.

    • https://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/information-hub/assistance-dogs-emotional-support-dogs-and-therapy-dogs/   hello   i’d be interested to understand if anyone.has experience of Assistance Dogs especially for autistic children of different ages for emotional support and therapy   There was a prior thread on this topic on EDF 10 hrs ago but it had limited experiences and there was a (claimed) change in UK legislation in 2019. Whilst the industry appears unregulated/unlicensed, there are several providers (approx 15, perhaps more) who claim to have fully trained dogs or say that they can help families to train a puppy/young dog over the 18-24 months.  The latter obviously comes with a need for strong commitment to the challenge. Costs for a fully trained assistance dog are quoted at £13-15k albeit they claim £23k total cost to train the dog. On the one hand, this could potentially be a useful solution for some families if such a dog was truly trained as their websites claim and such a dog was accepted in public places and schools etc… On the other hand, I don’t think that I’ve ever seen an assistance dog of this type or in this context (only for a blind or partially sighted person) and hence a real risk of fraud or exploitation! The SEN challenge for families coupled with limited resources in schools or from local authorities or the NHS as well as the extremely challenging experience of many families with schools offering little or no support or making the situation worse leaves a big risk of lots of different types of fraud and or exploitation in this area.
    • Hi there  We live on Woodwarde Road backing on to Alleyns Top Field.  Our cat Gigi has gone missing — it’s been about 24 hours now. She is a cream Bengal. Could you please check sheds, garages, or anywhere she might have got stuck please? And if you could keep an eye out or share on any local groups/forums, we’d really appreciate it. Photo attached.   Thanks so much! My name is Jeff on 07956 910068.
    • Colin.    One for the old school.   Just saying.
    • Signed, and I will share it elsewhere, thank you for posting this. It's got nearly 70,000 signatures at present, and apparently runs till February.
