Hi

We have recently moved from a rented property in the area to a new flat and we no longer need some items of Ikea furniture (1 x chest of drawers; 1 x wardrobe; 1 x bookshelf), so we are looking to sell them. All are in very good condition but we just don?t have the space to keep them in the flat. Photos of all furniture in built state will be added as soon as I can get the photos small enough, but links to the original Ikea website for each item are below.

The bookshelf has been taken apart as it is too tall to get in and out of the flat in built state, but this is easy to re-build in about 30 minutes. The feet of the wardrobe have been removed and the doors taken off, but the rest of the carcass is in built state. The chest of drawers are fully built. All nuts and bolts etc to re-build the bookshelf and wardrobe are present, and the instructions can be downloaded from the links next to each item below (taken from the Ikea website).

Bookshelf (white) - ?60 (RRP ?115) http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/storage-furniture/bookcases/hemnes-bookcase-white-stain-art-90371765/

Wardrobe (white) - ?25 (RRP ?55) http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/wardrobes/free-standing-wardrobes/aneboda-wardrobe-white-art-90121762/

Or I can accept ?100 for all three items.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
