Helen GV
How do I get my little boy to try a larger variety of foods??There are some things he will always eat and I rely on these but it means cooking two meals every evening. If I do manage to get something new in his gob he invariably spits it out. Is it a phase?( A very long one)Anyone have any tips or success stories I can cling to in hope...? Fuschia
It's a phaseI think it lasts from about 2/4 yoYou can try things like having it on your own plateEating together small portions of attractively served foodBriberyTrickeryBut IME it's a bit of a waste of energyI think the best two tiPs are relax and try to avoid a battle and to keep offering a variety - for eg by having shared serving dishes and a mix oF foods eg you have a joint dish of pasta and grated cheese for with sauce and veg on the sideWe eat lots of meze sort of meals or fajitas/wraps so everyone can tSke what they want .. Meat option, veggy option, carbs and salad/veg Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17098-food-and-toddlers/#findComment-433069 Share on other sites
