Car seat and rental cars - can you trust them to be there?

Anyone have any advice about whether its better to take your own carseat on the plane or rent one w a rental car? Im worried about getting to rental pick up and discovering theres no seat available? But can you just put a car seat through the hold? And if so - is a maxi cosi for infants just as safe strapped in (usually we have it set into the holder thing that is attached to seat)?

      I had this same query the other week - Mediquip no longer cover Southwark and I believe the company when bankrupt? Anyway, after some digging, I found the news on the adult social care page of Southwark Council website.  The new supplier of medical equipment that is issued to Southwark residents via an OT from the council or the NHS is Provide Equipment Hub.  I emailed them about returning two items and they did promptly respond and came and picked up the items the following week.  Email them at [email protected] Importantly, they will come and do urgent repairs of equipment like hospital beds.  I'm surprised that Southwark haven't made this change more widely known as it will impact many vulnerable residents.
