I was really pleased to see this place opening up, very beautiful and super chic...just right for ED I thought! But maybe not(read about babies being ejected for daring to eat their own grub). On sat my 13 year old daughter and her friends went there on their own for a treat. They asked for cream teas but with juice not tea. At first they were asked to pay for tea which they didn't have. They are all quite shy but managed to say that they didn't have tea and this was taken off the bill but they were then charged ?4 each for a glass of mango juice under the guise of 'nectar'!(?) They were too embarassed to complain and managed to scrape the cash between them (obviously nothing left over for sweets at Hope and Greenwood). I know we've had debates about the expense of this place here before but think ?4 for a glass of juice is a first! If your kids go there, make sure they have their gold cards with them, they'll need them...

    • A quick assessment on having a barter scheme amongst the community. An exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    I wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum? Or perhaps  an additional aspect of the forum itself if it was easy to include? I don’t have IT knowledge to set this up unfortunate, but I do have skills that I could offer. From past experience, it would probably work best as a direct exchange rather than coupon credit.    I may be flaunting the rules by posting on this twice, admin please feel free to delete one if this is the case.
    • Echoed. Thank you for stepping up.   whilst I’m here, I was thinking it would be a good idea to have a barter scheme amongst the community. an exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum? • As they have been closed, either as an antique shop or a cafe, for a number of years, the words 'go whistle' spring to mind. They are history now.
