Ban consecutive posts

Can we stop people posting two posts in a row... I'm a bit fed up with reading threads with 2/3/4 posts in a row by the same person. It's usually the people who have the least intelligent contributions, or who rant/argue unnecessarily.

Crikey. I often do that - usually on the grounds of tidiness when dealing with posts from several posters. Didn't occur to me that it might be irritating to some.:-S

Unfortunately the software does not have the ability to distinguish who is irritating then disallow them from repetitively posting.

Do you realise Jeremy that you can have your least favourite consecutive posters on 'hide'? This means you don't have to read the irritating stuff they have to write. What's more you can 'hide' those non consecutive posters you don't like much either! In fact I have most users on hide and spend ages trying to find something to read (generally my own posts). You must have slipped through the net;-)which is how I ended up here. Not that I find your posts irritating you'll understand, it's just I enjoy using the 'hide' feature and of course using the forum makes me feel part of the local community.

How can one access this "hide" feature?

Click the : colon by someone's name and hey presto, goodbye annoying posts.

You can still click the resultant show/hide by a specific post if you really want to see what they have to say, but trust me, it's never worth it.
