Hello

Would like to hear from people that have used Howdens kitchens please. Seems we cant get s quote without getting a tradesmen to engage with them. We aren't at a stage yet of wanting to speak with tradesmen for various reasons, we just want an idea of budget and quality.

The kitchen is about 6m x2m - galley. We'll be mid range in terms of appliances and fittings.

Be grateful to hear experience of cost, quality, timescales, service etc

Equally if you have a recommendation for alternative brand, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

My experience was great but do think that it's down to the relationship with your builder. S/he does all the work - communicating, purchasing etc direct with Howdens and this allows them to negotiate their own prices for materials. Our brilliant builder gave us a quote for the total job which we were happy with and then did everything else. This suited us and it was possible for items to be returned if the wrong size or a different handle was required. There's a branch in ED Road.

After years of 'nagging' by myself and our daughters, we may have cured hubby of spending £4 plus on individual cards for our immediate family  ( when you have 12 immediate family it costs a bomb) Also as the girls state, they get put in the recycling bad at beginning of January regardless of cost.
    • There was a LETS scheme in ED and it ran for a couple of years or so. Trying to remember when it was pre 2000?  A couple of friends joined it, one did baby sitting for exchange for ironing, the other did small painting jobs or simple gardening. There was a set criteria regarding credits,
