Eagle in the sky by wilber smith - quite an ending! If you like adventure, most things by wilber smith are decent. The Courtney series, and songbird in particular

Nasty vicious Attack in Peckham Rye Park 24/11/2017
clockworkorange replied to dimples's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Amazing that this thread has immediately moved from what sounds a horrific crime against a pensioner to school yard name calling and people being overly sensitive about a description. Get a grip. Get some perspective. -
Thanks all. Realise now it was vague. Dual pitch roof, hipped to rear. Thanks.

Hello, Just wondering if anyone can advise on the cost of re-roofing a house. Particularly semi detached Victorian villa. Replacing slate tiles Assuming not replacing roof structure Thank you

Hello Would like to hear from people that have used Howdens kitchens please. Seems we cant get s quote without getting a tradesmen to engage with them. We aren't at a stage yet of wanting to speak with tradesmen for various reasons, we just want an idea of budget and quality. The kitchen is about 6m x2m - galley. We'll be mid range in terms of appliances and fittings. Be grateful to hear experience of cost, quality, timescales, service etc Equally if you have a recommendation for alternative brand, let me know. Thanks in advance.

REceived a 'too good to be true' offer through my door. The company is called SellQuick and the offer is to buy my flat which is currently for sale and has been for a number of months. Is this a scam? Anybody heard of these guys? Feels a bit like webuyanycar.com ie they'll buy for knock off price. Any experience be good to hear. Thank you

Is virgin media down in dulwich?
clockworkorange replied to keluar's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm sure there's other threads but hey ho... Is there a noticable diff in speed between sky Virgin bt talk talk? I can see what they all offer but in reality, what does this mean and is it really noticable. For example I work at home. Nothing major. I stream Netflix too. Any thoughts? Thanks -

I have 3 year old diesel. Only bought it in October. Do I now need to sell it? Has the value just fallen through the floor? Any helpful thoughts/advice? I can't be the only one in this predicament -
Angle grinding at 3am
clockworkorange replied to clockworkorange's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
None of those thankfully. Mystery. -
No pun intended with this thread. It's a serious question. Last night at 330am I was woken by sound of angle grinding! Somewhere in the vicinity of kelmore grove, oakhurst grove, the gardens. Was I going mad? Anybody else hear it? Wondering if it was bike theft.

Peckham?s black hair salons - Channel 4 News
clockworkorange replied to ed_pete's topic in The Lounge
People- get real! Social cleansing my arse. How dramatic The shops get moved to release land for development which will provide housing, new/better retail, an improved station, uplift to heritage assets and public realm improvements. Also chunky payments to CIL and S106 - These shops have no more right to stay than any other. It just so happens they sit on a plot of land that is needed for redevelopment in the wider public interest. They get new units round the corner.these are comparable if not better. -

Thanks all. Shame to need to move away from the area. Having been looking at other areas it turns out east dulwich is an absolute gem! I've always know it was good but actually it's bloody excellent compared to most places! -
