I went in there recently and asked for a box of lasagna sheets (M&S had sold out) and the guy working there didn't even know what it was! It's not exactly a niche item. The store always seems like it's deliberately trying to go out of business.

My own research surpasses just browsing the forum however it's a great way to find out the opinions of residents and users of local businesses

I always feel that "locals" is less respectful than "local people".

Like calling people "blacks" or "whites". It misses out the most important aspect of other people's humanity

People are giving the journalist student an unnecessarily hard time for being polite enough to ask permission to quote some posters. He should just go ahead and plunder this thread for quotes from you ungracious people.
