*NOW GONE* Refinished & newly upholstered Ercol 203 Chair |

This is a classic 203 easy chair from Ercol's Windsor range (not to be confused with similar models which don't have the 8 round spindles and two forked struts at the back and/or the curved tactile arms).

The chair has the Ercol blue label attached - these were used between 1954-76 but the number of webs (8) and side-to-side nature of the webbing indicates this chair is an early model.

The frame is in great condition - no loose joints or dents etc. I have sanded back and refinished the frame with several coats of Danish oil which brings out the beauty of the wood and gives a nice low sheen result.

The chair has been rewebbed using quality Pirelli webbing (traditional methods not staples).

The cushions are brand new and were made up by a professional upholsterer. High quality foam, covered with dacron for comfort and then stockinette.

The zipped covers are made up in Warwick Amatheon wool which is a soft plain wool which is inherently fire retardant for domestic upholstery. The colour (Wolf) is a clean, mid-grey that would suit most interiors and can always be jazzed up with a scatter cushion or throw if grey is too safe!

It's a lovely chair and really comfortable.
