The Great Exhibition Pub - Thoughts?

What does everyone think of the great exhibition pub? Was thinking of holding a birthday party there.

Everybody has different tastes. For example I think it's very noisy, others might like that.

I like it. Lively. Good if expensive beer. Never eaten there though.

Expensive.. Ales not kept particularly well from my limited visits there.

Large open area with bare boards so lots of noise from Tables / Chairs scrapping the floor.

Worse when there is live music. Most of the noise from outside during the summer.

Tiny bar for size of pub. Never eaten there from the grossly over priced limited menu.

Food does not look that appetizing. but haven't been in for a while. (2 Years or so) despite

being a mere 200 so steps away from my gaff.

Not sure The Great Exhibition knows what direction they want to go or what they are trying to achieve.

I certainly don't.

It'a a great pub. Food is fine, especially the Bottomless Brunch on a Saturday. Always lots going on.

I'd recommend the bottomless brunch too, good value and you can book a large bench like table if a big group. Not keen of an evening

My well my birthday is on the 17th December so I still have time to find somewhere :) I was just wondering what I'd has been like recently? I was in there around 6 months ago but I heard it has changed management in the last couple of months so I'm just wondering if they have improved it or not
