crazed knitter seeks knitting group

I am a knitting nut and would love to meet up with some other enthusiastic knitters.....

I think there was a group that met at the Mag but don't know if that is still going??

If not , anyone interested in starting a group......??

Strangely drawn to reading this thread due to the subject title, very disappointed to discover it is actually about knitting and not code word for something exciting.

I have never understood knitting, all that manic hand movement, it makes me want to grab the needles and poke people's eyes out

I've often seen roving knitters up Borough way in places like the Market Porter and the Royal Oak if that helps. Couldn't tell you anything more about them though.

Just stay out of the Southwark Tavern and the Wheatsheaf - well known crocheter's boozers and the punters are always 'hooked up'.

I've heard there is a clan of knitters in the depths of the New Forest. Very little evidence has been gathered about them but a keen local group of knitspotters have found some half finished jumpers and scarfs during their treks. Story goes that then can be lured out by leaving large amounts of strawberries for them, but nothing to prove that just yet.
