My daughter has secured a place at Heber.

She is 4 next month and i assumed she'd be starting in September. However i looked at their website (which isnt very good as most of the links say "content coming soon") and it says that children born between September and February start in Sept, the rest start in January 2012 (the Academic year in which they turn 5)

I tried calling the school to check but just got the engaged tone.

Have i got it wrong? Its a good job i haven't handed in notice at the nursery!

Entry to primary schools has changed this year to one point of entry in September, so I would assume your daughter would be due to start at Heber this September. I would check how Heber do this, as some schools stagger it with one new child starting each day, so it could be October when all the children have started (and therefore you may want/need to keep childcare for Sept).

    • Went to the Dulwich Leisure Centre pool last Friday. It's been a long wait, but it has improved. The pool water is crystal clear. The men's changing room is also a lot better with new nonslip mats and all the showers have been given a makeover. New doors, new shower heads that stay on longer than the five seconds of the previous ones. More importantly, all the cracked and discoloured tiling has been replaced with sealed white boards and the ceiling and lighting has been replaced.
