Has anyone else received through their door, a Specsavers booklet and inside the cover a crisis at Christmas envelope and a self storage leaflet?

Every Tuesday the postman posts junk mail through my postbox. I'm not happy. I realise the companies pay Royal Mail for this service but it only goes straight into my recycling. Is there any way to unsubscribe from this unsolicited rubbish?

you can unsubscribe but it takes 6 months or so to filter through so I've been told

That timescale suggests the Mailing Preference Service, which covers only addressed direct advertising: https://www.mpsonline.org.uk/consumer/what_is_mps/.

RM operate an opt-out from their own unaddressed junk delivery, https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/293/, but that still leaves all the other leaflet delivery outfits.

Yes lavender27, but immediately recycled I'm afraid.

I usually recycle everything except the free eye test vouchers which I give to a local day centre for clients (www.sdcas.org.uk).
