I like the Herne hill market, don't get me wrong, but I do have concerns for local shops there whose busiest days are affected by the additional stalls in such great numbers. It wouldn' be preferable if the stalls were local business, but a lot of them aren't, seems a bit short sighted to me. personally I feel a compromise would be for them to be there on a say a Friday, and leave the weekend for local business.
