twinsmom
Does anyone know if there are been any power surges in the area? We have four rooms where the ceiling lights have all gone this weekend and don?t know if it is a problem with our whole house electrics or something more. bmcintyre27
Sorry, this is not meant to be a silly question but have you checked your fuseboard? A blown bulb can sometimes trip a switch. Penguin68
If you bought and installed your bulbs all at the same time it may be that they are also dying at the same time as well. Although 4 rooms where this has happened does seem excessive. If they all went at once then it does seem more likely that one bulb failed and tripped a circuit. Some of the circuit breakers are very sensitive (which is probably a good thing!) DulwichFox
A blown bulb (old filament type) will often trip out a circuit breaker Check your consumer unit and reset any tripped breaker. dulwichfox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/175950-power-surge-lights-out/#findComment-1200793 Share on other sites

twinsmom
Thanks all is not a circuit breaker. The rooms are on different rings, different circuits and different electrical boxes. The four room where the lights have different fixtures installed between 1-4 years ago. In the rooms where the light fixtures are not working there is one with four bulbs and the others with five bulbs.
