Travelling to the City from ED this morning?

Mother of all jams around blackfriars at the moment. Cabbies on Victoria Embankement with sirts off in the sun standing around talking, whilst traffic from south across the bridge at a standstill.

Probably too late for anyone now but just in case you are setting off later

A201 City Of London - Queueing traffic and one lane closed on A201 New Bridge Street in both directions in Blackfriars at the A3211 Victoria Embankment junction, because of an accident involving a van and a cyclist. Congestion to the B300 Union Street junction.

Missed this by about 15 minutes I reckon... drove along the Embankment just before 8am and it was fine.

It was quite a morning for accidents. We got held up at London Bridge which was closed. It looked particularly nasty with a churned up motorbike lying on the road and the Air Ambulance landing! I'm not sure what it's like now, but we managed to get across the bridge on the East side path, if anyone gets stuck later?
