binker
My dark grey new Skoda Kodiaq was hit whilst parked opposite No.5 Dunstan?s Grove between 9.45am and noon today. It was hit so hard from behind it actually moved the back end of the car into the road. Damaged the bumper, wheel arch and one panel.I have lost my no claims & ?600 excess unless I find the other party involved and I?ve only owned the car 6 days! It was some sort of large car/van with a loading part/foot ramp at the back (low enough to go under the bumper and lift the car) and probably white. There were lots of workman there at the time who say they didn?t see anything.Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Sue
I can't help, just wanted to say I feel for you.And my suspcious mind suspects that at least some of the workmen know exactly who it was. For which suspicion I have no evidence whatever. But most white vans in my road seem to have something to do with all the building work going on. Ruskin
Echoing Sue. I'd be very surprised if the builders saw nothing - or know nowt. Much sympathy though, if that at all helps. Sue
Might it be cheaper in the long run to get the car mended out with the insurance?I know you have to report it to them but not sure how it works other than that. Sue
Or try and find out who was delivering or removing stuff in the road at that time. The person having work done may know or could find out. Then see if there are marks on the relevant vehicle or if it has just been "repaired" ?
