  1. We would highly recommend Paul! He has been doing multiple jobs on our home renovation project for the past 3 months. He?s removed and tied off old sinks in bedrooms, replaced a kitchen tap, fitted a new Vaillant boiler (and gave a 10 year guarantee as he?s Vaillant certified/accredited), replaced some of the gas pipes to bring up to standard, replaced 6+ radiators and re-sited another. He works really hard and has been really helpful with his advice. It?s also been a pleasure having him around.
  2. This happened to us sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. On Devonshire Road. Car was locked automatically after so we only noticed because glove boxes, etc, had been opened and emptied. Police said they must have been disturbed or they would have stolen the car. They got away with ?2 and missed the bag of gin in the boot!
  3. We used carwow which is similar and it was brilliant. You put in the make, model, spec, etc and then dealerships give you their offer prices and bid for your business. Saved us thousands on list price. Gave me confidence when I went into dealership knowing I couldn?t be up-sold unnecessarily. In theory I didn?t have to go to dealership but I wanted to do a test drive too. Think they do new and used cars.
  4. Thank you. That?s my suspicion too but no proof unfortunately. I have reported it to the police online.
  5. My dark grey new Skoda Kodiaq was hit whilst parked opposite No.5 Dunstan?s Grove between 9.45am and noon today. It was hit so hard from behind it actually moved the back end of the car into the road. Damaged the bumper, wheel arch and one panel. I have lost my no claims & ?600 excess unless I find the other party involved and I?ve only owned the car 6 days! It was some sort of large car/van with a loading part/foot ramp at the back (low enough to go under the bumper and lift the car) and probably white. There were lots of workman there at the time who say they didn?t see anything. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
  6. Try my friend Felix. He's a local from Dulwich and has taken some fabulous pictures of us both in formal and relaxed settings. Please have a look at his website www.felixnurse.com

  8. the "crime- ridden" area of Peckham that some people have alluded and is spoken of in the press tends to be north of Peckham High St... but that is slowly changing as well with the estates being rebuilt and creating a sense of community. I can certainly say i don't worry about gun crime as i leave my house on a daily basis! When i lived in ED i worked from home and on a number of occasions had to call the police about people fighting & arguing in the street - on one occasion it turned out the whole street was actually under police surveillance. I should point out that this was a "nice" road off Northcross road as well! So far in 4 years nothing like that has happened to me in Bellenden road. I quite like wandering along Rye Lane on a weekend with its tardis stores that seem to sell almost anything. Yes it has butchers that sell every part of any animal but if you are worried about the quality then don't buy it - i'm sure health and safety would have been around at some point for them to even be in business! The shops on Bellenden are great and the staff normally friendly. Love the cafe for the hangover breakfast at the weekend & Ganapati is a gem!
  9. I live on bellenden road at the station end - have done for 4 years. I really like it. I bought here as i couldn't afford east dulwich which was where i'd been renting for the previous 4 years. I was a little worried when i first moved here as everyone had said they wouldn't want to move to Peckham but my fears were unfounded. I don't think the station is any worse than any other London station at night - i've never felt unsafe - and i've stumbled back after a drink or two many a time! I think you just have to be sensible as anywhere you go in London bad things can happen.
