  1. Jane I live in se22 and after a number of quotes used Otovo. Most reasonable by far and great customer service. You’ll get a discount of £100 if you use this link https://www.otovo.co.uk/r/pdhj1wjxr8bbmlmwkdxrd4x7pmwvpmlr
  2. Got one for £2000. I only take cash!!!
  3. With this product https://www.soundproofingstore.co.uk/soundboard-4
  4. Hi I’ve done sound insulation between my neighbour on a party wall. It’s not 100%, but huge difference. Doing ceilings is a much more challenging piece of work. There’s a great video in attached link on how to achieve this https://www.soundproofingstore.co.uk/ceilings?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAh8OtBhCQARIsAIkWb6-sTFWJ7Qu698ObcGxfLzdT08BcKH0ZE7GxEnSR3FrT9MeX71CoP1saAltfEALw_wcB
  5. My small gripe with Barry Road is that the council never clears the leaves in autumn of the pavements. As a jogger I’ve had a few accidents slipping. I now avoid running down the road. First world problem I know!
  6. LTNs and other traffic reduction schemes are supported by American billionaires providing grants to all forms of eco lobby groups. Southwark is part of a national lobby group UK100. Don’t see Dulres asking where they get their money from? https://www.uk100.org/
  7. The article is basically what was reported last year on the BBC. No change, in fact it may be worse. The Post Office use any old excuse! https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-63780196.amp
  8. I talked to a reporter from Southwark News. Seems Helen Hayes will speak to the Royal Mail again…. https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/dulwich/east-dulwich-residents-say-postal-service-is-still-bad-despite-royal-mail-taking-on-more-staff/
  9. Article in Southwark News about the LTN https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/dulwich/disabled-dulwich-village-pensioners-say-ltn-has-spoiled-their-lives/
  10. Mustn’t have been non alcoholic Guinness if he can’t remember!
  11. It’s a fallacy that only ‘rich’ people drive
  12. At one point I was in favour of a CPZ in my area near Peckham Rye Park. Lots of cars from the Goose green side of East Dulwich Road (including the businesses) park on my street due to the CPZ in operation. However with this latest rate rise I just see it as the cash cow that Southwark love to milk. It maybe a 100% increase this year, but they’ll keep increasing it massively year on year. There will be a huge divide between those who have drives (mostly those who live in dulwich village with their LTN) and the rest of us who can’t afford to park a car out on the street.
  13. I just had 5 panels and a 6.5kw battery installed by a new UK wide company called Otovo. They’re a Norwegian company and I’ve been very impressed with how the install went. Firstly good communication, secondly you don’t have to pay anything until work completed, finally the price was at least a third cheaper than anyone else quoted. I paid just over £7k, and an an additional £500 to the sub contracted installer to add bird mesh (who was v good). I would give the whole experience 5 stars. If you use this link, you’ll get £100 if you proceed with the install. https://www.otovo.co.uk/r/pdhj1wjxr8bbmlmwkdxrd4x7pmwvpmlr I’ll also get £100, and would be then happy to show you the install, and discuss how you can maximise your energy generation.
  14. I never post on this site, but find your contribution Malambu at most times annoying, and many times trolling. Here’s a link to research that show’s aspects of your ignorance…. https://ca1-eci.edcdn.com/reports/Gas-boilers-and-NOx-the-hidden-emitter.pdf?v=1633898830
  15. While we are at demonising wood burners, let’s get Southwark Council to enter every kitchen and cut off the gas hob. As recent media and research has indicated…… If you cook with a gas hob, Dr Mosley recommends taking action to prevent dangerous emissions from entering your body. He says: "Cooking with gas and gas boilers produces PM2.5s... the 2.5 relates to the particle size, so these have diameters 2.5 micrometres or smaller (a human hair is about 70 micrometres)."
