Hi

I just spoke to this nursery with a view to getting a tour and seeing what the waiting list time was and there are people from 2008 on the waiting list that they havent yet offered places to.. Does anyone have any experience with them as Im just wondering if I should still go on the list or just move my thoughts elsewhere?

Im going to go and have a look around in July at their next open day but just wanted to get some views first..

thanks!

I'd still go on their waiting list - my friend recently told me they'd phones her to ask whether she still wanted the place for her daughter - she's been at school for the past year! So there's probably an awful lot of people on the waiting list who are either no longer of nursery age or have settled elsewhere.

Good luck!

Gumboots After School Club is a completely different venture.

It operates from 2 sites - Goodrich School ( for the kids of that school) and East Dulwich Community Centre.

However, for the 4 week summer holiday scheme, any primary age child can attend. Full details are on the 'Whats on' page.

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
