Does anyone who knows the city of Bath well have any ideas where I could express milk discretely? Any mum and baby rooms there? Have to go to a museum there for work tomorrow and I usually express at work. I searched for a trusty John Lewis but there isn't one...any ideas? Otherwise I will just have to occupy a cubicle in a toilet somewhere for 20 mins... Not ideal but I've done worse. Thanks x
Yes thanks, I will try one of those. Just won't have long for lunch and don't want to traipse around for ages... I always find it more difficult finding somewhere to pump than breastfeed...can't exactly do it in a cafe and if you're somewhere with only one toilet I never want to block it up for others x
There's definitely a House of Fraser and a Debs. The H o F used to be called Jolly's, pretty sure it still is. The other place is the Pump Rooms (haha only just realised irony before clicking post!!) - major tourist attraction so they should have a baby change room you could hide out in for 15 mins. Sure we've all spent longer than a quick pumping session cleaning up a massive poo, so don't feel bad! Wave hello to the West Country from me! xx

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
