  1. Really Snowbaorder!? Ruff&Huddle is my friend's company! So glad you like them! She has just started a full collection of clothing, getting stocked in Selfridges amongst other places!! And yes, I think our leggings look won't last forever although I'm happily embracing it for now ;-) Just brought C some Theif and Bandit leggings, very cool, from Lil Beans online shop... lots of nice bits there And couldn't agree more that either way it's desperate, all diggers and dinosaurs for boys and pink fairy crap for girls, that's why I love Tootsamaginty and Indikidual etc.
  2. Some really cool boys / kids clothes Tootsamacginty Indikidual Theif & bandit available at Lilbeans online shop Polarn o pyret Ruff & huddle The Bright Company for sleepware (although I would say that!) Personally I'm a total convert to boys in leggings, they are really practical for active kids & great for potty training / independence. Plus they look cool & defo not an awful mini me look! For this reason we end up buying a fair amount of girls clothes- so few places do "boys" or even unisex leggings
  3. Hi, we just had to get an emergency appointment & they said it would be back in a week, it took 2 or 2 1/2 I think. We had two people counter sign ( I used the wrong pen 1st time) & they both said that they had been written to on all the applications they had been asked to sign recently, sure enough they were written to this time & they have to write back, so this can really slow things down.
  4. Depends on your kid tho, mine loves his bed so much we made it into a bed when he was just over 2, so that he could get in & out as often as he wants, i was getting exhausted lifting him in & out all the time! Now he will take himself off for downtime etc fairly often & wouldn't dream of refusing to sleep in it during the day, he practically asks for naps... Do what suits you best, we ended up with a cot & a cot bed so no 1 is in cotbed in bed mode & no.2 in the cot. Our plan is when no2 needs something bigger we put her in the cotbed & buy no1 a single bed & get rid of the cot We got both our cot & cotbed on this forum very cheaply...
  5. Hey, just to add our experience, we went cold turkey on the sun & naively thought it ok to send c mon & tues am to nursery (a pre school type nursery) in hinsight I think he did pretty well- 5 accidents on mon & similar on tues but they ended up putting him in a nappy, but seeing as we were only one day in it wasn't bad, by the next week he was down to 1/2 accidents (&6 or so wees on the loo) per morn (which is more than he would have at home) but still pretty good considering the nursery setting etc... If there are a couple of kids potty training at the same time that should make it a little easier almost to try & remember, they can take them together etc perhaps ? Good luck!

  7. Brockwell park has two in the playground and a massive one with the water fountains
  8. I had the same issue, my 1st was a v hungry boy & wasn't bothered by it but my daughter really struggled, just like you said gagged a lot etc... I didn't know what was wrong with her, she was all windy & would cry for no apparent reason. It was pretty tough but I found letting the milk spray into a muslin helped & sitting leaning back. She did grow out of it & by 6/8 weeks things were getting easier & now at 4 months is more than happy feeding So although perhaps not that helpful, it will get easier as they get older
  9. I went to the pharmacy in herne hill last week, ?4 lovely pic. Shot by the sheriff is now ?15
  10. So sorry you are feeling like this I've just had a girl & also have a 2 y old boy & I'm over the moon to have one of each. I have 1 sis & although we are close I'd have loved to have had that relationship with a boy/ man too. I have loads of girl friends but not many male ones & I do wonder if I had had a brother would I have more or at least another male figure in my life other than my (crap) dad Don't worry, the fact you care so much already speaks volumes about the type of parent you are! As long as they are loved they will be fine!
  11. I tend to tidy up once the babies are in bed, whizz round & put everything away then I can relax & cook. Cleaning et gets done when older one (2) is at nursery or when they are both napping, I work for myself so also try & fit that into the days. But yes, sheets & towels every week, but I iron nothing
  12. The portchester spa is lovely. Also Brixton market/village for lunch, there are loads of amazing places, just wander round & see what takes your fancy. Enjoy, I'm longing for the day ours are old enough to go off for a week!!
  13. If you are putting in a new concrete base you could consider having polished concrete floor, we have it and although it's pretty hard it looks great and is very easy to clean. Also rate draws everywhere (inside cupboards if you don't want acual draw fronts on show) I'm always a fan of not having wall cupboards above a worktop too, makes for a much bigger space, we have open shelves with cups, glasses, and frequently used foods etc... so you can display your nicest things on them.. a deeper worktop is nice too, we got ours online - oak from a wooden flooring and worktop supplier, it was fairly cheap but good quality. We have always used Ikea kitchens (on our 3rd in different houses) but only for the cupboards, brought appliances and sinks and worktops etc all elsewhere, we looked at which for best appliances and sourced them online. We live in our kitchen, and I spent a long time planning the layout, work out how you use your kitchen, where you like to chop in relation to the stove / oven, where will the washing up go, how will you unpack the dishwasher, where will the food live in relation to the chopping space??... you have to look at it all in relation to your space obviously, we have a large rectangle kitchen so have put an island in to be able to have a working 'triangle' or whatever the designers bang on about! Personally I like it as we sit there as well as it being functional storage & chopping but it needs to fit your space...
  14. just to say, shoes for little people need to fit properly (this isn't the same as offering arch support) and have very flexible soles. The bones in children's feet are not fully developed until they are around 16 years old, this means they are easily damaged, which is why we all go on about having good fitting shoes for our little ones. Children do not need 'support' especially arch support, (I'm sure the lady in ED warehouse was just getting her words mixed up) as essentially having this type of support makes feet lazy as they then do not use the correct muscles to support their own arches... your little one probably has very normal feet, as children have a much higher percentage of fat in their feet than adults they do tend to look a little 'flat' converse are ok, I wouldn't put mine in them all the time but as long as they aren't their main shoes they should be fine.
  15. We flew with ours several times always with cheap airlines & it was always fine. They don't care at all about it being in 2 parts, they just give you two tags for it
