Recommendation needed for a roofer

Can anyone recommend a roofer? We have a leak coming in from the loft, possibly flashing/loose tiles.

Hi. I've always used Russell Perring from RJP roofing. Search his name on here, a lot of entries. He replaced most of my roof, but has also done smaller jobs like guttering and I've been happy with everything he's done. A very nice person too.

I would avoid Russell Perring from RJP roofing. I was way overcharged for a simple job. Search other threads in this forum, as there are other members who have been either given high quotes or overcharged.

Yes, do search other threads on this forum,and you will find that the vast majority of people, including me,have been very happy with Russell's work and price.

If you were "way overcharged for a simple job", why did you accept the quote in the first place?

And why have you resurrected yet another old thread in order to have a go at Russell?

Simple.

I used this thread as a recommendation when getting some work done recently. I was not happy with the work, so just want to update the same thread where I got the contact with some recent negative feedback, so other members do not have the same problem.

Maybe Russell was great a while ago, but possibly his quotes have recently gone up in price.

Just had a quote for a quarter of the price paid, for the same issue which has reappeared.

I spoke with a Sue from RJP so hopefully the feedback makes its way back

ETA: If the same issue has reappeared, wouldn't that be covered by Russell's guarantee?
