Recently asked for recommendations for a boiler repair person over the Christmas period. Mark Newlove, recommended on here came out to the house when no-one else was available, got keys from a neighbour and was able to identify the problem really quickly. In the end, on his advice, we actually went back to the manufacturer and sorted the problem that way under their warranty scheme. So he saved us money and didn't even charge us for his time. I highly recommend him - although I didn't meet him, he acted with real integrity, and he told us in advance that if we had needed a new boiler, he could have done it within a couple of days.

  I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.

  We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance. Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him. We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
