LauraHW
I'm going on holiday in October half term with my children (ages 8, 5 and 2) and my mum. We want some sun but don't want to fly long haul. Would prefer self catering (apartment or villa) but would like a pool (gated if private). Does anyone have any recommendations of locations / accommodation? I'm thinking Cyprus or Greek Islands but have no idea where to start! Many thanks in advanceLaura Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/179414-october-sun-recommendations/ Share on other sites
alex_b
We tend to do Tenerife as it's a good balance between flying time (4hrs) and guaranteed year-round sun. Friends of ours have done Cape Verde which is cheaper but less developed. I'd happily recommend Baobab Suites in Costa Adeje, Tenerife which are self-catering apartments but with hotel facilities (restaurant, pool, sports club, spa on site). Mrs TP
I once went to Corsica in Oct and although it was winding down for the winter it was still really warm / hot and absolutely beautiful. I caught the end of the Hairy Bikers latest cookery show yesterday and they were there. Have a peep on catch up and see how gorgeous it is.
