Wow - really useful - especially the pages describing "nesting". We would nest all babies on the ward (normally as the cots are huge so little one's are easily lost) and with the bugglet being tiny (under 5lbs) I nested her in the moses basket and am sure it helped her sleep so well as she always felt well supported, I'd use a blanket as a 'U' shape from shoulder to shoulder and pop a muslin over the top (so easy to change if she vomited) and have the cardie I wore for middle of the night feeds near her so she could smell me.

For those having wind/reflux probs at the moment, I found it useful to have the moses basket stand propped up on a book (I'd guess a 30 degree angle) and Bugglet nested, swaddled - for first few wks in a muslin (right from birth her arms would escape!) and on her side (the nesting meant she couldn't roll onto her front & I'd alternate the side she laid on). I did this more through what felt right for my baby (was worried she'd possit in her sleep)rather than professional judgement (although my past experience probably had some affect on this), and as she got bigger she would settle on her back.

Is funny thinking of this now, as now at 9mths whenever I peek in on her she's in a different position/place in the cot - thank cripes for gro-bags!

    • Hello, just wondered if you found anything? I'm also looking for a studio space, perhaps sharing.
    • From what I have gathered from Bradbury Oak residents  I have spoken with, that at a meeting with RNIB earlier in the year, none of the residents were in favour of new build. There is the implication that rent rises are anticipated to help towards building costs. Rent is currently in the region of £300 pw - as with most sheltered housing (council and Housing Association), Since these rents also include maintenance charges, utility charges - Housing Benefit is only applicable to the actual 'rent element' per flat.
    • At the Dulwich Hill SNT meeting last night we spoke about Met. Engage. Dulwich Hill had signed up 185 households. Scheme  had been trialled in other parts of the country successfully and now the Met. Police are rolling it out, To the end of August, the Met Police had gathered 17,000 registrations which equites to 2% of households.
    • Personally, I think the death sentance should be brought back for anyone found to be harming animals.
