Where to stay in Provence with an 8 year old in the summer

Planning our summer holiday, decided we'd like to go to Provence to see nimes, Avignon and surrounding areas. Any recommendations of where to stay? DS is an only child so considering a lodge within a campsite so he can make some friends but wondering if anybody would recommend a particular one, or alternatives? Thank you!

Very lovely. Yummy sociable breakfasts. The haribo museum in Nime is fun, and the aqueduct is beautiful.
